What We Do

At ECPC, we apply the science of Coaching Psychology to help individuals within organisations thrive: professionally, personally, and psychologically.

We are trained to an advanced level in the application of psychological theory and evidence to coaching practice. We are bound by rigorous ethical standards and subject to ongoing professional accreditation through the British Psychological Society.

“Coaching psychologists are highly qualified psychologists who bring their specialised understanding and knowledge to inform coaching practice.”

Coaching Psychology Impact Statement, British Psychological Society, May 2024

In practice, this means

  • We use a wide range of evidence-based models and psychological approaches, selecting those most appropriate for each individual and their goals
  • We go beyond surface-level performance goals to explore the beliefs, patterns, and psychological factors that shape how people think, behave, and lead
  • We are trained to recognise and sensitively address psychological barriers such as confidence issues, stress, imposter syndrome, or self-limiting beliefs, without crossing into clinical intervention into clinical intervention
  • We help coachees build lasting psychological resources: self-awareness, resilience, emotional intelligence, and the capacity to continue growing long after the coaching relationship ends

Our Approach

Every coaching relationship at ECPC is built on three foundations:

  • Rigour: we draw on the best available psychological evidence to inform everything we do
  • Challenge: we ask the questions that matter, offer honest perspectives, and encourage the kind of reflection that creates genuine insight and lasting change
  • Humanity: we create a coaching environment that is genuinely safe, respectful, and human, recognising the whole person behind the professional role
  • Impact: we stay focused on what matters: real, meaningful, measurable change for the coachee and their organisation

We work with individuals, with organisations investing in their people, and with HR and L&D professionals looking for a coaching partner they can trust to deliver consistently, ethically, and with exceptional quality.

How it works

We keep things simple. An initial conversation gives us the chance to understand what you’re looking for and make sure we’re the right fit. From there, we will agree a coaching programme tailored to you, whether that is a focused block of sessions or a more ongoing arrangement.

Coaching sessions are typically delivered online, though we are happy to meet in person where that works better for you. Sessions usually last 60–90 minutes, and we will agree a pace and structure that fits your schedule and your goals.
