The Executive Coaching Psychology Company
Coaching rooted in genuine psychological expertise
Background
We set up The Executive Coaching Psychology Company (ECPC) because we believe that when coaching is rooted in genuine psychological expertise, it can be truly transformative.
As Chartered Occupational Psychologists with deep expertise in coaching, we have years of advanced study, supervised practice, and a sustained commitment to evidence-based, ethical coaching.
Coaching Psychology sits at the intersection of two powerful disciplines: the science of psychology and the art of coaching. Our work is grounded in research and informed by a rich, evolving evidence base. We draw on a wide range of psychological theories, frameworks, and approaches, always selecting those most appropriate for the individual in front of us. The result is coaching that is not only effective, but meaningful.
What makes our expertise unique
What truly sets ECPC apart is the combination of our deep psychological expertise and our extensive business and executive experience.
Experienced Team
Every member of our team has worked with the most senior levels within organisations. We understand the realities of leadership, the pressures of executive life, and the complexity of navigating organisations, whether public, private or not-for-profit. We bring that experience into every coaching relationship, alongside our deep, rigorous psychological training.
What This Means
It means we speak the language of business as fluently as we speak the language of psychology. We understand what it means to lead teams, manage stakeholders, drive performance, and make high-stakes decisions. And we use that understanding to make our coaching sharper, more relevant, and more impactful.
What We Focus On
Our coaching is wide-ranging, because the challenges that people bring to coaching are wide-ranging. At ECPC, we work with individuals across the full spectrum of professional and personal development, always through the lens of our psychological and organisational expertise.
The areas we most commonly work on include:
- Performance and impact: helping coachees perform at their best, lead with greater authority, and make the kind of impact they are capable of
- Self-awareness and identity: deepening understanding of strengths, values, motivations, and the patterns of thinking and behaviour that shape how people show up at work
- Leadership effectiveness: building the skills, confidence, and presence to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and navigate complex organisations
- Transitions and new roles: supporting individuals stepping into new or expanded responsibilities, helping them establish credibility, build relationships, and find their footing quickly
- Confidence and self-belief: working through self-doubt, and the psychological barriers that hold talented people back from fulfilling their potential
- Resilience and wellbeing: developing the psychological strategies and habits that support sustainable high performance and protect against burnout
- Relationships and influence: improving how coachees communicate, collaborate, manage conflict or performance, and build the relationships that matter most to their success
- Career clarity and direction: helping individuals gain perspective on where they are, where they want to go, and how to get there with intention and confidence
Whatever the starting point, our goal is always the same: to help individuals thrive, not just perform. To build the kind of self-knowledge and psychological resource that lasts long after the coaching relationship ends.
While we each bring our own individual coaching styles, we are connected through our shared commitment to coaching that goes deeper, that draws fully on our psychological training, and that creates genuinely lasting change.
We are rigorous and evidence-led. We are also warm, caring, and wholly focused on doing what is right for every person we work with and for. For us, those two things are not in tension. They are what great coaching looks like.
